Frequently asked questions

What is the music like?

We provide a blended worship service that includes many modern hymns and praise songs along with traditional hymns. Our pastors preach expository messages from the Scripture.

Are the worship services the same or different?

Our worship services are identical in that the music, the message, and the pastor preaching that morning are all the same. We want all those attending our services to have a very similar worship experience each Sunday whichever service they choose to attend.

How do people dress?

The short answer is "from jeans on up". There is no dress code here at LBC (however we do believe in people practicing modesty). People dress in a variety of ways. Whether you come in jeans, a suit, a dress, or khakis, you are welcome here. Worship is a matter of the heart not ultimately a matter of dress.

Is there Sunday School? If so, what ages?

We have Sunday School for all ages called Bible Fellowships. They meet almost every Sunday from 9:50-11:00 AM. You will see them promoted as ABFs (Adult Bible Fellowships), YBFs (Youth Bible Fellowships), and CBFs (Children's Bible Fellowships). Our Children's groups range from Preschool (potty trained 3 & 4 year olds) to 5th Grade, and our youth includes 6th-12th Grades. We also have a Nursery operating for children birth to 3 years old.

What does the church believe? Is there a statement of faith?

We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and we hold the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as our statement of faith. Essentially, we are a Evangelical congregation that holds a high view of Scripture as we seek to follow it to direct our personal lives as well as our life together as a church family. Another helpful document to understand what we believe and how we practice that faith is our Church Covenant to which all members are held accountable.
