seek the lord in worship

“Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” - Psalm 95:6 (CSB)

At Leonardtown Baptist Church, we believe that being a disciple of Jesus Christ involves four characteristics (worship, discipleship, service, and evangelism). As a church and as the Christians who comprise it, we respond to God's amazing grace by helping each other grow as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who embrace and live out these characteristics more and more as we spend our lives for the glory of our Lord.

One characteristic is that all Christ followers "Seek the Lord in Worship". By worship we mean something that goes far beyond the music we sing or its style. Worship certainly involves praising God through music, but true worship comes from the heart and encompasses all of life. We worship God by making participation in weekly worship services a priority over other pursuits. We worship God by giving joyfully and sacrificially so others can know Him. We worship God by honoring Him and obeying His Word even as we fully rely on His grace shown to us in Christ. For the purposes of a website, we place our worship arts and preaching ministries here.

Let's use the arts glorify the Lord together!
