At LBC, we have multiple international missions partnerships to help spread the Gospel to the "ends of the earth."
Young Life Military (Club Beyond) has been ministering to military kids for almost 50 years.
Although military kids walk the same school hallways as other teens, they live in a much different world. For them, being called a military "brat" is like being called a "brother" or "friend." Military brats attend four to as many as six different schools between sixth grade and their senior year.
Young Life Military walks the halls with military teens and their families to help them face the unique and challenging aspects of military life.
Kevin and Kelley Burgess began serving with Young Life Military in 2012. Before that they served St. Mary's County with the local Young Life ministry. Today they minister to military families in Germany.
Frater Church - Guatemala City, Guatemala
LBC has been supporting medical missions serving villagers in Guatemala since 2013. In cooperation with our brothers and sisters from Fraternidad Cristiana de Guatemala, we minister to the local population both physically and spiritually. Our work involves general medical and dental care as well as spiritual care through the Soul Clinic. Plans for the 2019 mission trip to Guatemala will be included here once they have been finalized.
Iglesia Bautista San Bartolo - San Bartolo, Mexico
In 2004, LBC partnered with Ebenezer Church in Puebla, Mexico in their efforts to plant a new body of believers in the Apizaco area of Mexico. Land was donated, and in 2010, construction efforts began as La Iglesia Bautista San Bartolo was built over the next six years. This trip will help this church connect with its neighbors through community service projects, and we will lead discipleship studies and assist with VBS. Plans for the 2019 mission trip to Mexico will be included here once they have been finalized.
Good News Church - Chisinau, Moldova
Moldova is a former Soviet Republic in Eastern Europe nestled between Ukraine and Romania just off the Black Sea. It celebrated 25 years of independence in 2016. LBC has partnered with Good News Church in the capital of Chisinau since 2010. Our goal in Moldova is to reclaim the Gospel and to reach the next generation with the love of Christ.
Primarily, we do this through teaching English in various settings from public school classrooms to day camps to Bible studies. Most of our work is with children and teenagers as we assist Good News Church with church planting and community outreach. Our partners in Moldova use soccer, taekwondo, computer classes, and English classes to share the Gospel with everyone. Plans for the 2019 mission trip to Moldova will be included here once they have been finalized.
The International Mission Board's vision is a multitude from every language, people, tribe, and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ. IMB partners with churches to empower limitless missionary teams who are evangelizing, disciplining, planting, and multiplying healthy churches, and training leaders among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.
