Operation Christmas Child has become an important part of Leonardtown Baptist’s mission outreach. Through shoebox gifts we can help evangelize children and make disciples anywhere in the world. Children everywhere need to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ and His incredible gift of Salvation (“the Greatest Gift!”). 

LBC’s goal for this year is 1,500 shoeboxes. Please pray, and ask what God wants you to do this year for Operation Christmas Child. A simple gift box can touch the heart of a child, convert an entire family, and impact a whole village with the gospel. Local churches grow and new churches are created through involvement with Operation Christmas Child.

List of prohibited items

Candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.

Operation Christmas Child requests that each box include a $9 donation which covers: “The Greatest Gift” gospel booklet; collection and processing; and shipping to over 100 countries.  You can donate $9 online to OCC and print a label to “Follow Your Box” and discover its destination.  Otherwise, pick up a “How to Pack a Shoebox” pamphlet in the foyer and use the attached envelope to place cash or check inside your box (which will be removed at the processing center).
