What is the Abilities Ministry?
We believe that the Bible clearly teaches that individuals with disabilities are wonderfully made in God's image. Our aim is to provide a welcoming and safe environment where families with disabilities can thrive and feel a true sense of belonging.
We recognize that every child is unique, and you may prefer to have your child stay with you during the service or join their peers in the class. Our goal is to create a place where children can joyfully learn about Jesus, and families can worship together in a warm, accepting atmosphere.
A designed space to meet sensory and other specific needs for teens and adults, as needed, during our Worship Service. The service is streamed into this space.
We have noise reduction headphones, as well as sensory bags and baskets filled with fidget items for use while you are here.
We have a trained crew who is more than happy to help assist your child (5th grade and under) during our fellowship and worship hours so that you are able to attend your class and service. We do need advanced notification so that we are able to best assist you and your family in your visit.
We have buddies who are available in the Book Nook during the Worship Service for families, teens, and adults who may feel more comfortable being in a smaller, quieter space.
Want to prepare for your visit or have any questions?
We would love for you to come visit our church beforehand so that you are able to get a walk through of our building and have peace of mind as you prepare to come worship with us. We ask that you please email Autumn Wyandt to set up a meeting.
We would also ask that you fill out our intake form so that we can best prepare to meet your needs.
