Missions
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
We strive to “Share Christ with the World” everywhere we go. By “share,” we mean giving away something we know we can never lose: the joy of knowing Christ through faith. Sharing Christ begins here, in St. Mary’s County, with our neighbors, coworkers, family, and friends. We also seek to share Christ throughout our region, this great nation, and in several parts of the globe. We do this through strategic missions partnerships with church planters and local congregations who are also working to share Christ with their part of the world.

North America’s needs are great. Children go hungry. Neighborhoods become disaster zones after storms. Entire communities have no church presence and no one to tell them about the hope found in Christ.
It doesn’t have to be this way; God has a plan to reach North America: the Church. The Church feeds neighbors in need. The Church removes storm debris. The Church establishes new churches in areas with no gospel presence. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is here to help.
We help equip churches to be on mission in their own communities and across the continent. Through compassion ministry, church planting, chaplaincy and disaster relief, we help congregations go to the lost and hurting.

Good News Church – Chisinau, Moldova
Moldova is a former Soviet Republic in Eastern Europe nestled between Ukraine and Romania just off the Black Sea. It celebrated 25 years of independence in 2016. LBC has partnered with Good News Church in the capital of Chisinau since 2010. Our goal in Moldova is to reclaim the Gospel and to reach the next generation with the love of Christ.
Primarily, we do this through teaching English in various settings from public school classrooms to day camps to Bible studies. Most of our work is with children and teenagers as we assist Good News Church with church planting and community outreach. Our partners in Moldova use soccer, taekwondo, computer classes, and English classes to share the Gospel with everyone.
