Plan Your Visit

Leonardtown Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located in St. Mary's County, Maryland. It's our aim to glorify God by seeking the Lord in worship, studying the Word together, serving the body of Christ, and sharing Christ with the world.

We gladly cooperate with the churches of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist Convention of Maryland & Delaware, and the Potomac Baptist Association. Learn more about each of these partners by clicking on the name of each of them.

Service Info

LBC worships on Sunday mornings at 10:15AM. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, we are requiring masks indoors. We provide a blended worship service that includes many modern hymns and praise songs along with traditional hymns. Our elders preach expository messages from the Scripture.

Upon request, our service can be translated into American Sign Language (ASL), and sound amplification devices are available at every service.

There is no dress code here at LBC (however we do believe in people practicing modesty). Each Sunday, some people like to dress up while others come in more casual attire. Whether you come in jeans, a suit, a dress, or khakis, you are welcome here. Worship is ultimately a matter of the heart and not a matter of dress.

Welcome! (from 6 feet away)

One thing that churches everywhere are trying to adapt to is the recommendation to avoid handouts of any kind. This is just one more way Leonardtown Baptist Church is striving to look out for everyone's health and safety during these challenging times. If you are our guest, please consider contacting the church office at office@lbcmd.org if you would like to speak with a pastor or discuss church membership or baptism.

For Parents

Unfortunately, under the current circumstances, there is no nursery or childcare of any kind. We understand the unique challenges that presents parents. While we would love for you to come and worship with us, we understand that there will be some families for whom the livestream is a better option. With that said, we encourage your children to participate in an online Children's Bible Fellowship on Sunday mornings. We also look forward to the day when we will be able to provide our safe and fun learning environments for children again.
