Plan Your Visit

Leonardtown Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located in St. Mary's County, Maryland. It's our aim to glorify God by seeking the Lord in worship, studying the Word together, serving the body of Christ, and sharing Christ with the world.

We gladly cooperate with the churches of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist Convention of Maryland & Delaware, and the Potomac Baptist Association. Learn more about each of these partners by clicking on the name of each of them.

Service Info

Before having to adapt to the unique challenges of COVID-19, LBC had two worship services on Sunday mornings: 8:30 AM and 11:15 AM.

During phase one of the Maryland re-opening plans, we are starting by meeting outside with one service at 10:30am. For those who are in the vulnerable population, or uneasy about returning quickly, we are also streaming online. Visit the livestream page for more details.

Since we are meeting outside, we encourage you to dress comfortably for the weather and take precautions for sun exposure (hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are all great)! There is no dress code here at LBC (however we do believe in people practicing modesty).

Additionally we are asking attendees to check their temperature at home, wear a mask, social distance, and bring their own lawn chair to sit in. These are unusual times, but we feel as though these requests honor the recommendations of government officials and create a safe environment where everyone can feel at ease.

Welcome! (from 6 feet away)

One thing that churches everywhere are trying to adapt to is the recommendation to avoid handouts of any kind. This is just one more way Leonardtown Baptist Church is striving to look out for everyone's health and safety during these challenging times. Thankfully, our church software provides a simple way of creating a "digital bulletin." In that bulletin, you'll find all of the slides we would typically project, including song lyrics and our sermon outline. It also contains a form that we would love for you to fill out if you are our guest.

For Parents

Unfortunately, during phase one of our regathering plan, there is no nursery or childcare of any kind. We understand the unique challenges that presents parents. While we would love for you to come and worship with us outside, we understand that there will be some families for whom the livestream is a better option. With that said, we encourage your children to participate in an online Children's Bible Fellowship on Saturday mornings. We also look forward to the day when we will be able to provide our safe and fun learning environments for children again.
